Ghiya Kheer/ Bottle Gourd Pudding

Ingredients to make Ghiya Kheer/ Bottle Gourd Pudding

  • Bottle guard 1/2 kilograms
  • Sugar 2 tablespoon or as per taste
  • Milk boiled 1 litre
  • Chopped almonds 1 tablespoon
  • Chopped cashew nut 1 tablespoon
  • Pistachio chopped 1 tablespoon
  • Green cardamom powder 1 teaspoon
  • Mava 1 tablespoon grated
  • Desi ghee 2 teaspoon

How to make Ghiya Kheer/ Bottle Gourd Pudding

  1. Wash and grate the bottle gourd. Cook the milk in a heavy bottom pan with cardamom powder and chopped dry fruits.
  2. Heat the ghee in another pan and fry bottle gourd till golden.Then add one cup water, cover and cook the bottle gourd till its done.
  3. Now mix the bottle gourd with milk, cook it for 10 minutes on medium hot heat, turn off the flame. Cool and serve.
