Methi Paneer

Ingredients to make Methi Paneer

  • medium bunch of methi leaves.
  • 150 grams paneer
  • 2 medium onions
  • 5 pods of garlic( paste)
  • 2 green chillies( paste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon haldi powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dhania powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon amchur powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon powdered sugar (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon jeera
  • 2 tablespoon oil
  • salt to taste

How to make Methi Paneer

  1. Finely chop onions, wash n chop methi leaves.
  2. Take a kadai, add oil, put jeera, onions, saute for 1 minute, now add garlic, green chilly paste, cover with lid and simmer it for 5 minutes.
  3. Add methi leaves, mix again, cover with lid and simmer for 5 to7 minutes. Add dry masalas and mix well, saute for 3 minutes, add crumbled paneer, salt, sugar and mix well. Keep it on low flame for 5 minutes.
  4. Serve hot with rotis.

My Tip:

Sometimes methi leaves are bitter, so you can add sugar.
