Ingredients to make Choco cookies

  • Flour - 1.5 cups
  • Sugar - 3/4th cup
  • Cocoa powder - 1/2 cup
  • Salt - 1/2 tsp
  • Butter - 1/2 cup
  • Baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Eggs - 1
  • Vanilla extract - 1 tsp
  • Butter Cream topping :
  • Unsalted butter (softened) - 1/4 th cup
  • Icing sugar - 1 cup
  • Vanilla extract - 1 tsp
  • Cream - 1 tbsp
  • Some cherries (for garnishing)

How to make Choco cookies

  1. 1. The butter should be at room temperature. Whisk this with the sugar.
  2. 2. Add the egg into the above and whisk. meanwhile, sieve the flour, salt, baking powder and cocoa aside.
  3. 3. Now add the mixture into the egg mixture and form a dough.
  4. 4. Chill this and cut into desired shapes using a cookie cutter. bake them at 175℃ for 10 minutes in a preheated oven. Cool them.
  5. 5. I have used the butter cream frosting to pipe the dollops and topped with cherry halves.
  6. P.S : To make the butter cream, whisk the butter until fluffy and then add the icing sugar, vanilla extract and whisk again. Add the cream and whish to get the consistency. Pour this into the piping bag and pipe dollops on the cookies.
