Dhaba Style Chicken Curry

Ingredients to make Dhaba Style Chicken Curry

  • Chicken- 500 gm
  • Ginger Paste- 2 tbsp
  • Garlic Paste – 2 tbsp
  • Onion- 2 big size (Chopped)
  • Onion paste- 1 medium size
  • Tomato – 2 small size (chopped)
  • Yogurt - 60 gm
  • Turmeric Powder – 3 tsp
  • Red chili Powder – 4 tsp
  • Cumin Powder – 2 tsp
  • Coriander Powder – 2 tsp
  • Kasuri methi – 1 tbsp (crushed)
  • Green chili paste- 4-5
  • Cashew nut paste – 5-6 nuts
  • Garam Mashala powder – 2 tsp
  • Cinnamon Stick – 1 inch
  • Bay leaf - 1
  • Mustard Oil – 5-6 tbsp
  • Salt – as per taste
  • Sugar- 1 tsp
  • Fresh cream – 2 tbsp (optional)

How to make Dhaba Style Chicken Curry

  1. Wash chicken pieces, then martinet them with 1 tsp ginger & garlic paste & 1 tsp of all powder spices. Add 1 tbsp oil to it & rest it for 1 h.
  2. Now take a handi then add remaining oil, cinnamon stick & sugar then allow it to hot.
  3. Now add onion to it fry it till it golden brown color appears
  4. Then add the remaining ginger garlic paste & green chili paste & stir it.
  5. Now add chopped tomato fry it to it & after 2 min then cover it with a lid.
  6. Now add powder spices except garam mashala and stir it till the oil gets separated.
  7. Now add bitten yogurt & cashew nut paste to it then stir it again.
  8. Add 1 tsp garam mashala to it then mix it properly.
  9. Add chicken pieces & mix properly & cover it with a lid.
  10. Then add crushed kasuri methi, silted green chili & salt as per taste.
  11. Stir it time & again 5-6 min.
  12. Now open the lid after 20 min, check the seasoning & check the chicken if cooked properly or not.
  13. Now add the remaining garam mashala & fresh cream then mix it.
  14. And enjoy you dhaba style chicken curry with rumali roti.
My Tip: Add kashmiri red chili powder for better color.
