ABOUT Aloo Tikki Burger RECIPE

A fusion snack recipe that combines Indian traditional chat and western fast food. Aloo tikki is most popular snack or street food in India so this tikki is used as a patty in this indo - western burger.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Bun 2 pieces
  2. Boiled Potatoes medium size 2
  3. Chidva (poha) 1/2 cup
  4. Water
  5. Oil to fry
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Black pepper
  8. Beans chopped
  9. Carrot chopped
  10. Capsicum chopped
  11. Ginger grated
  12. Onion rings
  13. Tomato rings
  14. Cucumber rings
  15. Cheese grated
  16. Tomato ketchup
  17. Butter
  18. Chat masala
  19. Green chillies

Instructions

  1. Boil the potatoes in the pressure cooker and peel the potatoes and mash it.
  2. Soak the chidva (poha) in water for 2 minutes. After draining grind them in a mixer.
  3. Mash both potatoes and grounded chidva together in a bowl.
  4. Now add salt, green chillies, chat masala, and lemon juice.
  5. Divide it into two equal parts and make large patties as per your burger bun's.
  6. Take bread crumbs/ maida in a plate, dip one patty at a time and coat it.
  7. Heat the oil in a kadahi or pan then deep fry them on a medium flame.
  8. Now drain them on a paper or tissue. Your Aloo tikki is ready.
  9. Now heat the butter in a pan on medium heat and cut the bun into two portions, roast the buns from both the sides.
  10. Take kadahi add 2 spoons oil, heat the oil, add grated ginger, boiled beans, raw chopped carrot, capsicum and saute.
  11. Now put salt, black pepper and mash them. Sprinkle with grated cheese. Switch off the flame.
  12. Take buns spread some ketchup, then cheese vegetable masala. Place a patty on it then onion rings, tomato rings, cucumber rings and again ketchup. Sprinkle chat masala and grated cheese and close with the other part of the bun. Serve them hot. Kids will love it.
