About chhana aar kNacha aam vapa(steamed cottage cheese with raw mango)

i always try to experiment in my kitchen. Whatever ingredients i have near my hand,i like to use that..Here this dish is cooked cottage cheese and raw mango together,and the result is delicious and encourage me to furthermore experiment.Another thing i want to it is a hazards free cooking dish.

Ingredients to make chhana aar kNacha aam vapa(steamed cottage cheese with raw mango)

  • chhana 600 gms
  • 100 gms raw mango peeled and finely chopped
  • coconut cream 2 tblspn
  • mustard paste 2 tblspn(black + white mustard in 1:2 ratio)
  • green chilly paste 1 tblspn
  • tomatoes 2 finely chopped( without seed)
  • onions 1 cut into small diced shape
  • mustard oil 50 ml
  • sugar salt
  • Coriander leaves for garnishing

How to make chhana aar kNacha aam vapa(steamed cottage cheese with raw mango)

  1. in a bowl cream the chhana
  2. mix chilly paste and coconut cream into it
  3. add chopped raw mango it it
  4. add 1/4 of the mustard oil,salt and sugar. mix properly and keep in freeze for 30 min
  5. heat 1/2 of the rest oil in a pan, shallow fry the tomato and onions
  6. add mustard paste into this, add seasonings. turn off flame
  7. now add the fried things into the chhana mixture
  8. add rest of the oil into it aand pour this into a steel tiffin box.
  9. boil water in a pan,place the tiffin box
  10. cover the pan,slow cook for 20 min
  11. in between turn the mixture if it needed
  12. open the box mix up well
  13. u will see the oil will comes out from the sides add coriander and again cover it for few min
  14. serve hot with long grain hot rice
My Tip: if needed add more mustard oil. u can do it in microwave also. then cook in micro mode for 5 min with lid.
