Namkeen Recipe is a crispy & healthy snack recipe loved by children. Generally i prefer deep frying items made at home reather than outside for children.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Ingredients: Wheat Flour                 : 1cup,
  2. Rice Flour : 1 & 1/2 cup.
  3. Refined Flour( Maida). : 1 cup.
  4. Sooji. : 1/2 cup.
  5. Butter. : 1/2 cup.
  6. Carom seeds(Azhwain). : 1 spoon.
  7. Cumin (jeera). : 1 spoon.
  8. Moong Dal. : 2 spoons..
  9. Red Chilly Powder : 2 spoons.
  10. Salt. : 1 & 1/2 spoon.
  11. Kasoori Methi. : 1 spoon.
  12. Oil : Required for Deep Frying.

Instructions

  1. Preparation: Step1: Take a big bowl, mix all the above ingredients ( wheat flour, rice flour, maida, red chilli powder, salt, azwain jeera, kasoori methi, sooji, butter, moong dal) with a glass of warm water & 1spoon of oil. Knead into a soft dough & cover it,  and keep it aside to rest for 10minutes.
  2. Step2: Heat a kadhai with required amount of Oil used for deep frying in it on a low flame. From the dough, make small round balls and press and roll into a flat shape roti with the help of rolling pin, by applying flour in between.
  3. Step3:. Cut the roti according to your favorite shapes with shapes cutter or cut directly into diamond shapes with a knife.
  4. Step4: Deep fry these small peices in kadhai on a medium flame until they turns into golden brown color and crispy. Remove these on to an absorbent paper to drain excess oil. Now eat them directly or enjoy with a cup of tea.
