About Bonda Recipe

These are fried dumplings made with flour, yogurt and spices.

Bonda

Ingredients to make Bonda

  • 1 cup maida or flour
  • 1/4 cup Rice flour
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp ginger chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Cooking soda / baking soda
  • 1 tsp green chillies chopped
  • 2 to 4 tblsp curd
  • oil for deep frying
  • salt to taste

How to make Bonda

  1. Mix maida with rice flour, salt, cooking soda, chopped green chillies, chopped ginger and cumin seeds.
  2. Add curd, make it into a vada batter consistency. Cover it with a lid and keep aside for 1 hour.
  3. Heat oil for deep frying. Shape the batter into balls. Fry them on low flame till golden in color. Serve hot with chutney or sambar
