ABOUT Bonda RECIPE

These are fried dumplings made with flour, yogurt and spices.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1 cup Maida or flour
  2. 1/4 cup Rice Flour
  3. 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  4. 1 tsp Ginger chopped
  5. 1/2 tsp Cooking soda / baking soda
  6. 1 tsp Green chillies chopped
  7. 2 to 4 tblsp Curd
  8. Oil for deep frying
  9. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix maida with rice flour, salt, cooking soda, chopped green chillies, chopped ginger and cumin seeds.
  2. Add curd, make it into a vada batter consistency. Cover it with a lid and keep aside for 1 hour.
  3. Heat oil for deep frying. Shape the batter into balls. Fry them on low flame till golden in color. Serve hot with chutney or sambar
