ABOUT prawns balchao masala RECIPE

Prawns Balchao Masala It's a spicy goan cusine made with prawns and spies . Well with the original prawns balchao recipe I have added a twist and made it in my version of prawns balchao so I named it prawns balchao masala. Try it you will love it for sure.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 500gms prawns
  2. Malt vinegar or tamarind pulp little (1 tsp)
  3. 2 dalchini
  4. 5 tablespoon oil
  5. 7 to 8 cloves
  6. 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
  7. ginger and garlic roughly chopped 2 tablespoon
  8. 4 dry red chilly
  9. 1 tsp jeera
  10. 1 tsp sugar
  11. 4 small onion chopped
  12. 2 tomatoes chopped
  13. 2 tablespoon turmeric powder
  14. 2 tablespoon red chilly powder
  15. 1 tablespoon coriander and cumin powder mix
  16. 1 Tablespoon Garam Masala
  17. 3 tablespoon chopped coriander
  18. 1 small bowl chopped capsicum

Instructions

  1. Clean the prawns and marinate with salt and turmeric for 15min
  2. In a kadai heat oil about 2tablespoon to fry the marinated prawns until it's cooked and changed color, once the prawns change color remove from kadai and put it in tissue paper to soak the extra oil.
  3. In the mixture add dalchini, cloves, jeera, dry red chilly, mustard seeds, ginger and garlic roughly chopped and vinegar and make it into thick smooth paste
  4. Fry the capsicum till it change its color and keep aside do not over cook the capsicum
  5. In kadai add remaining oil, once the oil heated add onions to it till the onion changes it color. Once the onion changes it color add tomato to it, and stir nicely till its soft. Now add sugar, salt as per taste, and all the dry spices toit
  6. And stir nicely for 2min, then add capsicum to it adding capsicum add the paste of masala made to it if want add 1tsp water and stir it and cook for around 4min till the masala is cooked add start into small boils.
  7. Cook the masala mixture in low medium flame so that it do not burn
  8. Once the masala is cooked add prawns to it now and stir in nicely so that the prawns get coated to the mixture
  9. Add little chopped coriander and cover and keep it in slow flame for 2min
  10. Now remove the cover from the kadai.
  11. Place the prawns balchao masala on your serving dish. And garnish it with chopped coriander
