ABOUT Idli Tikka Masala RECIPE

I have tried to give twist to normal idli. Its a very yummy and healthy option for kids. It will definitely attract everyone's attention.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Suji 1 cup
  2. Curd 2 tablespoon
  3. Salt according to taste
  4. Mustard seeds. 1 teaspoon
  5. Curry leaves. 8-10
  6. Oil 1 tablespoon
  7. Eno 1/3 teaspoon
  8. Beetroot juice 1/2 tablespoon
  9. Spinach juice. 1/2 tablespoon
  10. Ingredients for Tikka :
  11. Onion cubes. 1/2 cup
  12. Capsicum cubes. 1/2 cup
  13. Deseeded Tomato cubes 1/2 cup
  14. Gram flour 2 tablespoon
  15. Hung curd. 1 tablespoon
  16. Lemon juice. 1teaspoon
  17. Chat Masala 1teaspoon
  18. Salt and chilly according to taste
  19. Tikka Masala 1Teaspoon
  20. Skewers dipped in water. 6
  21. OIL FOR BRUSHING

Instructions

  1. First mix suji with curd and water and keep aside. Let mixture be thick.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. when seeds splutter add curry leaves and switch off the flame.
  3. Pour this oil into suji mixture and mix nicely.
  4. Divide this suji mixture into three parts.
  5. In one part of mixtue add beetroot juice. In second part add spinach juice and let the third part as it is.
  6. Adjust the consistency of all suji mixtures . If needed add water. Now equally add salt and eno powder in three suji mixtures.
  7. Quickly grease the idli moulds and pour mixtures and microwave high for 2 minutes.
  8. Do the toothpick test with idlis. If ready than unmould idlis and leave aside to cool.
  9. In the mean time mix all ingredients of tikka masala except chat masala.
  10. Now cut each idli into 4 parts and mix with the tikka masala.
  11. Take skewers and set idli pieces , onions ,capsicums and tomatoes alternatively on it.
  12. Brush the grill pan with oil and roast all tikka sticks on it.
  13. Keep changing the sides for even roasting.
  14. After evenly roasting sprinkle chat masala and serve immediately with sauces of your choice.
  15. Yummy and healthy idli. tikka masala is ready to relish.
