Goan Prawn Curry

Ingredients to make Goan Prawn Curry

  • 500 gm prawns
  • 1 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • oil
  • 1 cup coconut grated
  • red chillies (4-5 and if you prefer spicy 5-6)
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 6 black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 4 cloves
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1 cup coconut milk

How to make Goan Prawn Curry

  1. Marinate the prawns with ginger garlic paste and turmeric for 15-20 mins.
  2. Grind turmeric,red chillies,cumin seeds, black pepper, cloves and vinegar together.
  3. Heat the oil in a vessel, add cumin seeds, curry leaves and green chillies. Add onion in the vessel, saute till golden brown.
  4. Then add the prepared masala in the vessel and prawns. Cook till prawns become pink.
  5. Add coconut milk and coconut. Cook till milk comes to boil.
  6. Serve it hot with indian breads.
