Healthy Nan Khatais

Ingredients to make Healthy Nan Khatais

  • Wholewheat flour 1 cup
  • Refined flour 1/2 cup
  • Ground oats 1/2 cup
  • Almond powder 1/2 cup
  • Chickpea flour (besan)2 tbsp
  • Powdered sugar 1 cup
  • Oil 1/2 cup
  • ghee 1/2 cup

How to make Healthy Nan Khatais

  1. Mix all the dry ingredients.
  2. Knead with ghee/oil to soft dough
  3. Refrigerate for half an hour
  4. Make walnut sized balls and place them on a greased baking tray
  5. Lightly make a cross with a knife on each nan khatai.
  6. Bake at 180 degrees in a preheated oven for 15 minutes or till slightly brown.
  7. Take out the nan khatais from the oven and let them cool
  8. Store them in airtight container.
My Tip: Make the nan khatais bite size so that it is convenient to eat for the kids.
