ABOUT Lemon khichdi RECIPE

Khichdi is always a comforting food, this is a delicious variety made with the zingy lemons and are perfect for feeding even a baby.

Ingredients Serving: 1

  1. 1 cup rice
  2. 1/2 katori masour dal or lal malka dal
  3. 1/2 tsp lemon
  4. Ghee 1tsp
  5. Cumin powder a pinch
  6. Coriander powder 1/3 tsp
  7. Garam masala a pinch
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Water 2 ¹/2 glass
  10. red chili powder a pinch

Instructions

  1. Wash the dal and rice, soak them for 30 minutes. Then heat pressure cooker pan with some ghee. Add the soaked rice , dal, salt, powdered masalas except the cumin powder and lemon juice.
  2. Add the water and close the lid. Cook till the cooker give 3 whistles. Let the pressure settle down, open the lid. add the lemon juice and cumin powder. Give it a mix. Serve hot.
