About Idli Kachori Muffins Recipe

This is a fusion dish that I have created in my kitchen.

Idli Kachori Muffins

Ingredients to make Idli Kachori Muffins

  • 1 cup toor dal
  • 4 garlic pods
  • 2 inch piece ginger
  • 5 green chillies
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1 and 1/2 cup Idli batter
  • Handful of roasted flax seeds
  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp pepper powder
  • Veggies of your choice (I added beans carrot corn and peas)
  • 3 tsp kachori masala
  • A pinch of soda /Eno fruit salt
  • 2 slices of bread torn
  • salt to Taste

How to make Idli Kachori Muffins

  1. Boil the first 4 ingredients with 1/4 cup of water. (The water level should be a little less the level of dal as the cooked dal should be dry.) Then grind it and roast this mixture in 2 tbsp of oil till the mixture becomes dry.
  2. Next add in salt and garam masala. Keep this kachori masala aside.
  3. Mix the remaining ingredients. Grease the muffin tray and pour it into the moulds. Preheat the oven for 10 minutes at 180 degree celsius. Place the muffin tray in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
  4. Check with a toothpick to see if it's cooked, if the toothpick comes out clean then it is done.
  5. Serve hot with green or red chutney.
