Ingredients to make Aam Chhunda

  • Raw Mangoes / Totapuri Mangoes 1 kg
  • Sugar 500 gm or more as per taste
  • Cardamom 8 (coarsely grinded)
  • Raisins 2-3 tblspn
  • Salt to taste
  • Red chilly powder 1 tsp
  • Roasted Cumin 1/2 tsp

How to make Aam Chhunda

  1. Wash mangoes and dry with a cloth.
  2. Peel the mangoes and grate.
  3. In a heavy bottom pan add grated mango, salt and sugar.
  4. Cook till it combines and sugar comes to 2 thread consistency.
  5. Add raisins and mix well.
  6. Add red chilly powder, cardamom powder and roasted cumin.
  7. Mix well and let it cool completely.
  8. Store this chhunda in glass jar. You can store it for very long time.
  9. Serve with roti, paratha, toast etc.
