ABOUT Savarin-des-fruits RECIPE

An amazing bundt cake made with flour, yeast, butter and egg. Soaked in mango juice and rum. Center fill with cream and lots of mangoes and cherries. Loved this cake.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. All purpose flour 100 gms
  2. Sugar 20 gms
  3. Yeast 4 gms
  4. Salt 2 gms
  5. Butter 30 gms
  6. Egg 1 nos
  7. Milk 40 ml
  8. For Syrup
  9. 2 sacch mucch aam ice cream
  10. Rum 70 ml
  11. Sugar 100 gms
  12. Water 200 ml
  13. For Filling
  14. Mangoes 2 large cut into wedges
  15. Cherries (remove seeds)9-10
  16. Whiped cream 1 1/2 cups

Instructions

  1. For cake Mix all the ingredients and whisk it nicely.
  2. Pour the batter into the greased and dusted bundt mould.leave it for 30-35 minutes for proofing.
  3. Mean while Preheat oven 200°for 15 minutes. Bake the cake at 200°C for 20-25 minutes.
  4. Demould and cool.
  5. Melt sacch- mucch aam ice cream in a bowl . Add Rum, sugar and water. Mix very well. sugar shoul be dissolved.
  6. Soak the cake in this mango flavoured rum syrup. Wait for a while and soak again.
  7. Fill the center with whipped cream. Decorate it with mango wedges and cherries.
  8. Chill the cake for atleast 2 hours. And serve in thick slices. This cake melts in mouth if soaked properly.
