Ingredients to make Savarin-des-fruits

  • All purpose flour 100 gms
  • Sugar 20 gms
  • Yeast 4 gms
  • Salt 2 gms
  • Butter 30 gms
  • Egg 1 nos
  • Milk 40 ml
  • For Syrup
  • 2 sacch mucch aam ice cream
  • Rum 70 ml
  • Sugar 100 gms
  • Water 200 ml
  • For Filling
  • Mangoes 2 large cut into wedges
  • Cherries (remove seeds)9-10
  • Whiped cream 1 1/2 cups

How to make Savarin-des-fruits

  1. For cake Mix all the ingredients and whisk it nicely.
  2. Pour the batter into the greased and dusted bundt mould.leave it for 30-35 minutes for proofing.
  3. Mean while Preheat oven 200°for 15 minutes. Bake the cake at 200°C for 20-25 minutes.
  4. Demould and cool.
  5. Melt sacch- mucch aam ice cream in a bowl . Add Rum, sugar and water. Mix very well. sugar shoul be dissolved.
  6. Soak the cake in this mango flavoured rum syrup. Wait for a while and soak again.
  7. Fill the center with whipped cream. Decorate it with mango wedges and cherries.
  8. Chill the cake for atleast 2 hours. And serve in thick slices. This cake melts in mouth if soaked properly.
My Tip: Put the cake at hot place for proofing. In winters this process take more time. Any type of fruits can be added.
