Ingredients to make Palada Pradaman

  • Rice flakes - 1 cup ( I used readymade adas)
  • Milk - 1 litre
  • Sugar - 1 tbsp
  • Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Ghee- 1 tsp
  • Water as needed
  • A pinch of salt

How to make Palada Pradaman

  1. Boil milk and keep it aside. Also wash the rice flakes a couple of times and keep it aside.
  2. Take a pan, and boil water in it Once the water starts boiling turn off the flame, add in the rice flakes and keep it covered for 15-30 minutes.
  3. After this time frame, discard the water and wash it in cold water for three to four times and keep to drain.
  4. In a pan, add ghee, then add sugar and mix well till the sugar gets completely dissolved in the ghee. Then add cooked rice flakes and mix well till it changes to golden brown colour.
  5. Next add in the boiled milk and keep it in a medium flame for 20-30 minutes, so that the milk thickens and reaches the texture like that of condensed milk.
  6. Add cardamon powder, a pinch of salt and turn off the flame.
  7. Your tasty Pradaman is ready to be served!

My Tip:

In the original recipe they do not add cashew nuts and raisins. But you can add them if you desire.
