Ingredients to make Sooji besan dokala

  • 150 gms sooji
  • 100 gms besan flour
  • 1 teaspoonful sugar
  • Salt as required
  • 150 GMS SOUR CURD
  • One eno pouch of green color
  • For tempering
  • 2 tablespoons oil for tempering
  • Mustard seeds 1.4 teaspoon
  • Cumin 1.4 teaspoon
  • Fresh coriander chopped half teaspoon
  • Curry leaves 4/5

How to make Sooji besan dokala

  1. In a bowl mix sooji besan(gram flour) , oil 1 teaspoonful sugar, salt as required, curd nicely
  2. Adjust the constancy by adding little bit of water
  3. Taste the batter ad adjust salt
  4. Take a double boilor and grease the tin with oil
  5. Be ready to cook it on double boilor like we do for idli or doklas lastly befor pouring the batter in mold add in eno pouch ad mix it nicely pour the batter immediately in mold ad cook on medium flame for 10to 15 min
  6. Cover ad cook check it by putting knife if it comes clean u can take the mold out
  7. Cool it a little side by side prepare tempering
  8. Heat oil add in mustard seeds cumin when they crackle add in curry leaves
  9. Spread chopped coriender on readt doklas and put the tempering in
  10. U can add sesemi seeds (til) to enhance the flavour
  11. Cut in desired shapes ad serve with tomato ketchup or tamarind chutny
