Mango balushahi

Ingredients to make Mango balushahi

  • all purpose flour -300 gm
  • clarified butter-80 ml.
  • mango pulp-80 ml.
  • Baking powder-1/2teaspoon
  • mango essence -2 -3 drops
  • oil for fry
  • For sugar syrup-sugar-2cup
  • water-1cup
  • cardamom powder-1/4teaspoon
  • saffron-1 pinch

How to make Mango balushahi

  1. Take a mixing bowl add all purpose flour ,baking powder and mix well.
  2. Now add clarified butter,mango pulp,mango essence and mix it with lite hands and make a soft dough (do not knead it),
  3. Now keep the dough aside for 15 minutes .
  4. Heat water in a pan.add sugar,cardamom powder,saffron and make sugar syrup of one string consistency.
  5. Now make small balls with prepared dough and give a shape of balushahi
  6. Heat oil in a wok and fry the balushahi on very slow flame.
  7. When balushahi floating on the oil then increase the flame and fry them till brown in colour.
  8. Now take out balushahi and sock in hot sugar syrup for 5minutes.
  9. Ready to serve..

My Tip:

Do not fry the balushahi on high flame otherwise they will not puff up.
