ABOUT cabbage ke gatte RECIPE

Gattes are famous Rajasthani delicay, so here is a twist to the same as I made them with cabbage.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. For making gattas
  2. cabbabe one small bowl grated
  3. besan 6 tbsp
  4. mirchi powder 2tbsp
  5. Haldi powder 1 tsp
  6. salt as per taste
  7. Coriander powder 1/2 tsp
  8. Garam masala 1 tsp
  9. For making gravy
  10. one small onion cut into small pieces
  11. Haldi powder 1/2 tsp
  12. mirchi powder 2tbsp
  13. Coriander powder 1tbsp
  14. GARAM MASALA 1 TBSP
  15. salt as per taste
  16. Jeera 1tsp
  17. Hing a pinch
  18. oil 2 tbsp
  19. Coriander leaves for garnishing

Instructions

  1. mix all the ingredients of gattas as mentioned above to make a smooth dough. add water when required.
  2. Then make cylindrical shapes of the gattas.
  3. Heat water in a pan and add little salt and oil to it and wait till water boils.
  4. after that ,add gattas to it and wait till gattas start floating on the top.
  5. when gattas start floating on the top it is almost done and take out from the water.
  6. allow it to cool and cut into small pieces
  7. do not throw away the stock of gattas.
  8. after that add all the ingredients to the curd as mentioned below except onions.
  9. heat oil in a pan add jeera and hing and saute onions to it
  10. after that ,add curd gravy to it and mix it continuously....
  11. when oil starts separating frm the gravy you can add gattas and the remaining stock..
  12. Stir till the curry is boiling, garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
