About Cucumber Raita Recipe

A cool yogurt preparation that's a perfect accompaniment to curries

Cucumber Raita

Ingredients to make Cucumber Raita

  • 100 gms yogurt
  • 2 cucumbers
  • salt to taste
  • sugar to taste
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp chaaat masala
  • coriander leaves for garnish

How to make Cucumber Raita

  1. 1. Wash and peel the cucumbers, and grate. Add a bit of salt to it and keep it aside for 3 to 4 minutes
  2. 2. In a bowl, whisk the yogurt until smooth, add chaat masala, jeera powder, salt and sugar.
  3. 3. Squeeze the water out of the cucumbers and add to yogurt. Whisk again.
  4. 4. Adjust seasoning and chill until ready to serve

My Tip:

If you''re in a hurry, add a few cubes of ice for a cool and refreshing finish
