Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. (In this recipe we use Bombay Biryani - Chicken)
  2. Biryani Rice – 1cup
  3. Chicken – 100 grams (shredded with out bones)
  4. Bread – 3slices
  5. egg – 1
  6. Cheese – 1/2cup
  7. Green chillies – 2 to 3
  8. Spring onions/ coriander leaves – 5tbspn
  9. Red Pepper – 3tbspn
  10. Chilly powder – 1/2tspn
  11. Salt – according to taste
  12. For Binding:
  13. Bread crumbs – 1cup
  14. egg – 1

Instructions

  1. Separate chicken from bones and shred them using fingers or fork. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl add all the ingredients (except binding ingredients) and shredded chicken. Check for seasoning and spices. Using your hands make a coarse mixture. If the binding is weak add an extra slice of bread.
  3. Divide the mixture to small lemon size portions. Roll them as smooth balls. In a wide plate spread bread crumbs. In another bowl whisk one egg. Dip each ball in whisked egg and then roll on breadcrumbs. Make sure for even coating. Repeat for the rest. Arrange them in a wide plate. Avoid overlapping.
  4. In a large wide vessel, heat sufficient oil for deep frying. Insert a skewer to check for bubbles. When you see bubbles oil is ready for frying. Fry on medium flame till brown colour. Do not crowd. Transfer on kitchen towel to soak excess oil. Serve hot with favourite dips and enjoy.
