ABOUT Veg- rawa idli .... RECIPE

A healthy idli with the addition of semolina, made in microwave.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. 3 cups of suji
  2. 3 cups of curd
  3. 2 tspn of baking soda
  4. salt as per taste
  5. Water if required
  6. 4 chopped green chillies
  7. 1 tbspn minced ginger
  8. 1 chopped capsicum
  9. 3 chopped tomatoes
  10. 3/4 bowl Curry leaves
  11. Black mustard seeds 1 tspn
  12. 1 tbspn oil

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl n add suji , baking soda and curd and mix it well... Keep aside for 20 minutes
  2. After few minutes add all the chopped vegetables to the suji mix .... And keep aside
  3. After 20 minutes in a gas oven take a pan heat oil , mustard seeds and few Curry leaves and saute for 30 seconds... And put this in the suji and vegetable batter ... Now stir very thoroughly..
  4. Now microwave greased a idle maker with oil ...
  5. In this idli moulds pour about 4 tbsp of idli batter in it ... And keep it in microwave glass bowl .. take another batch of idli batter filled mould ... And keep it over the first mould..
  6. As I have taken 3 idli (8) moulds ... That's why I will set the microwave at High 900W for 3:50 minutes .. if you take 1 (4) mould of idli mould you will set the microwave High for 1:50 minutes to 2 minutes
  7. When done run a knife .. if it is uncooked then give 1 minute again..to cook
  8. Take out the idli moulds .. run the knife on the edges and then put the idlies on the plate or bowl
