Ingredients to make Moong dal chilla

  • Moong dal 250 gms
  • Beetroot 1
  • Carrot 1
  • Onion 1
  • Green chillies 4-5
  • oil to spread
  • Salt to taste
  • Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • Chat masala

How to make Moong dal chilla

  1. Soak the moong dal for overnight.
  2. Grind moong dal with some water in the mixture grinder.
  3. After grinding add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and mix well.
  4. Chopped all the veggies.
  5. Heat a tawa put lil oil and moong dal batter and spread well like chilla in full flame.
  6. Spread chopped onion , green chillies, grated carrot & beetroot.
  7. Now cover the lid and turn the flame on low for 30 secs.
  8. Sprinkle chat masala and turn the chilla for few secs & fold them.
  9. Serve hot in breakfast or in dinner.
My Tip: If your chilla is stick in the tawa then add some besan in the batter. Or either check the pan is well heated.
