Ingredients to make Vada pav

  • Pav 1 packet
  • 250 gm potatoes boiled
  • Onion 1 chopped
  • Green chillies finely chopped 4
  • Coriander leaves
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
  • Garam Masala 1 tsp
  • Coriander whole crushed
  • Mustard seed 1 tsp
  • Hing a pinch
  • Besan 1 tbsp
  • Salt

How to make Vada pav

  1. Slit open the pav, keep aside
  2. In a pan add 2 tbsp oil, drop in mustard seed hing and onion fry till golden
  3. Add in turmeric,red chilli powder mix in the boiled n mashed potatos
  4. Mix well add crushed coriander garam masala green chillies and salt.
  5. Finish it with coriander leaves, keep aside to cool the mixure
  6. In a mixing bowl make a thin batter of besan salt baking powder and water
  7. Make small balls of potato mixure obce cooled, coat it with besan batter and deep fry till golden
  8. Ehile serving, apply onion garlic masala or green chutney inside the pav. Place the fried vadas and serve
