ABOUT Mango cornflour halwa RECIPE

It is tastier and lighter halwa made with mango and cornflour.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1/2,cup sweet mango pulp
  2. 50 gm cornflour
  3. 150 gm sugar
  4. 1 tsp Lemon juice
  5. 2 tbsp ghee
  6. 200 ml water
  7. 1 pinch orange food colour (optional)
  8. 1/4 tsp Cardamom Powder
  9. 10-12 almond chopped

Instructions

  1. Take a kadhai and put 1/2 tbsp ghee in it
  2. Heat it and add almond and roast it on medium flame till light brown
  3. Take it out in a bowl
  4. Now add 100 ml water in the kadhai and add sugar into it and heat it till the sugar dissolves
  5. Now take bowl and add cornflour,mango pulp and 100 ml water and mix it well
  6. Add this mixture into the ready sugar syrup and mix it regularly on medium flame
  7. Add the left ghee also in it and mix it regularly
  8. When mixture is becoming dry add lemon juice and orange food colour
  9. Add half portion of roasted almond
  10. When the mixture becomes dry well off the flame
  11. Grease a plate with ghee and spread the halwa mixture into it
  12. Spread the left half portion of roasted almond and cardamom powder and left it to be cool
  13. On cooling cut it serve it.
