Ingredients to make Soda Crackers

  • All purpose flour- 1 and 1/2 cup
  • Water 6 tbsp
  • Butter 2 tbsp
  • Yeast 2 tsp
  • Sugar 1 tsp
  • Baking soda 1/4 tsp
  • Salt 1/4 tsp
  • Herbs and salt for toppings

How to make Soda Crackers

  1. Mix the flour, yeast, baking soda and sugar together.
  2. Also heat the butter, water and oil together in the microwave till the butter melts. Let it cool down a little, it should feel warm and not hot.
  3. Put the butter mixture in the middle of the flour and knead to a soft dough. Keep this dough covered for a while. Knead the dough again and roll into a thin sheet.
  4. Cut into squares and transfer the biscuits to a baking tray. Make perforations with a fork.
  5. Brush the biscuits lightly with water and sprinkle salt and herbs. Bake them in the preheated oven at 204 degree celsius for 8-10 minutes.
  6. Serve warm or store in an airtight container to consume later.
