Ingredients to make Daliya/broken wheat pulav

  • 1 cup daliya or broken wheat
  • 1/2 cup moong dal..split nd husked green lentils
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 chopped green chilli
  • Mixed vegetables of your choice
  • I used cauliflower, carrots, potatoes and beans
  • Salt to taste
  • Black Pepper 1 tsp
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tbsp mustard oil
  • A sprig of curry leaves

How to make Daliya/broken wheat pulav

  1. Dry roast daliya..keep aside
  2. Dry roast moong dal...keep aside
  3. Take 1tbsp mustard oil in a pressure cooker...
  4. crackle 1 tsp mustard seeds. And add curry leaves
  5. saute onions till transulent and add green chilli.
  6. Cut all veggies in cubes and add to pressure cooker
  7. adjust seasoning....add black pepper powder
  8. Lastly add roasted daal Nd roasted daliya Nd 3 cups water....
  9. Cook for 2 whistles
  10. Enjoy with curd, papad Nd pickle..Yummy
