Chilla Chaat

Ingredients to make Chilla Chaat

  • 1 cup beasn
  • 1 Cup water
  • 1 chopped tomato
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 tsp ajwain
  • 1/2 cup chopped coriander leaves/ cilantro
  • 2 tsp ginger green chilli paste
  • 1 tsp haldi powder
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp oil
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 cups curd
  • 1 tbp jeera powder
  • 1 Tbsp chaat masala
  • 1 tbsp green mint chutney
  • 1 tbsp sweet tamarind chutney/dates chutney
  • Bhel sev to garnish

How to make Chilla Chaat

  1. Mix besan, oil, tomato, onion, ajwain, ginger green chilli paste, haldi powder,red chilli powder, salt, coriander leaves, water in bowl and prepare a batter for chillas
  2. Now heat a non stick pan. Grease with oil and make spoon size small chillas of it and roast it both sides with little oil as required.
  3. Mix curd with salt and jeera powder. Now in a transparent serving bowl, place 2-3 chillas in the base. Sprinkle some chaat masala on top. Pour curd on top, then some green chutney,some tamarind chutney on top. Garnish with bhel sev and serve immediately.
My Tip: Chillas can be prepared in advance and when the party begins just assemble
