ABOUT paav bhaji RECIPE

a very easy,tasty and famous recipe of Maharashtra, a perfect spicy and yummy vegetable curry with pav bread , toasted in butter.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 8 medium size potato
  2. 1 carrot
  3. 1 Eggplant
  4. 2 cup cauliflower
  5. 1 cup green peas
  6. 4 onion
  7. 4 tomatoes
  8. 1 tspn garlic-ginger paste
  9. 2 chopped green chilli
  10. 2 tbspn ghee or butter
  11. 2 tspn garam masala
  12. 1/2 tspn Turmeric Powder
  13. 1/2 tspn mustard seed or rai
  14. salt as per taste
  15. 1/2 tspn chilli powder
  16. Butter 2 tbspn
  17. paav 12 pcs

Instructions

  1. Boil potatoes,carrot,eggplant ,together, keep aside.
  2. Grate the onions and tomatoes, keep aside as well.
  3. heat oil in a pan.
  4. add rai [mustard seeds] ,green chilli,ginger-garlic paste
  5. add grated onion and saute until the onion turns golden brown in color.
  6. add grated tomato
  7. saute for 2 minutes.
  8. add turmeric powder,garam masala,chilli powder,salt.cook it for 2 minutes.
  9. now add green peas and cauliflower
  10. add 1 1/2 glass water cook for another 5 minutes.
  11. add boiled potatoes,carrot,eggplant and mix well add 2 tspn butter and cook for 5 minutes
  12. garnish with coriander leaves
  13. Heat some butter on a tawa, toast the pav bread on it.
  14. spread ghee or butter on paav.cook it from both sides
