Ingredients to make sev khamni

  • 1-cup chana dal
  • 2-spoon green chili peast
  • 2-spoon ginger peast
  • 2-spoon garlic peast
  • salt
  • lemon juice (2-lemon)
  • cashew 7,8 pieces
  • dry grapes
  • oil 2,3 spoon
  • mustard seeds-1 spoon
  • 1-spoon jeera
  • hing one pinch
  • sesame seeds-3 spoon
  • sugar 7,8 spoon
  • coriander leaves
  • pomegranate seeds

How to make sev khamni

  1. Soak the dal for 4-5 hours in water.
  2. After 4,5 hours ,blend in mixture, the batter is ready.
  3. Add in salt, green chili, Garlic, ginger paste to the batter, mix well
  4. Take dhokla maker plate, grease with oil, pour the batter into it and steam for 10 minutes.
  5. Cool the dhokla and grate it.
  6. Now mix the lemon juice with sugar, keep aside.
  7. Heat some oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, jeera, curry leaves, cashew , dry grapes , sesame seeds, add sweet lemon juice add grated dhokla ,mix well .
  8. This is ready to be served, garnish with sev, coriander leaves and pomegranate seeds.
