ABOUT Shaam -Savera RECIPE

This is famous Shaam Savera, inspired by Chef Sanjeev Kapoor. Spianch koftas filled with paneer, cooked in a tomato based gravy, a perfect side dish for parathas or naan.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Palak 250 gm
  2. Paneer 100 gm
  3. Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
  4. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  5. sugar - 1 tsp
  6. salt
  7. garam masala powder - 1 /2 tsp
  8. Butter 6 tbsp
  9. Tomato puree - 1 cup
  10. OIl [for frying the koftas]
  11. Onion [chopped] - 1
  12. Ginger - 1 inch
  13. Green chilli 5
  14. Cashew nuts - 10
  15. Black pepper powder - 1/2 tsp

Instructions

  1. Blanch the spinach and then cool it for sometime.
  2. Crumble the paneer ,add salt& crushed cashew nuts.
  3. Take palak in palm &spread them( like roti balls )
  4. Stuff the paneer mixture and make a round shape .
  5. Fry the koftas in hot oil, keep aside.
  6. Take onion ,ginger,Green chilli, cloves,Black pepper put into pressure cooker for 2 whistle
  7. When they cool, make a puree of the same.
  8. Heat some butter in the pan.
  9. Add spices & the tomato puree
  10. Add onion puree
  11. Cook for 12 minutes
  12. When gravy is done ,cut the kofta and serve with the gravy.
