Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Onion- 1
  2. Tomatoes-3
  3. Potatoes-2
  4. Carrots-3
  5. Peas- 1 cup
  6. Mint leaves-1 bunch
  7. Ginger gargic paste-1 tbsp
  8. Channa masala powder-1 tbsp
  9. Garam masala - 1 tsp
  10. Elachi, cloves, cinnamon stick, bay leaves for seasoning
  11. Butter-100gms
  12. Oil-100gms
  13. Salt-as per our taste
  14. Chilli powder-1 tsp
  15. Turmeric-1/4 tsp
  16. Green chillies-3
  17. Curd- 2 tbsp
  18. Basmathi rice- 4 cups
  19. Water-6 cups

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak 4 cups basmathi rice in 6 cups of water in rice cooker.
  2. Now cut onions lenght wise and other vegetables very thin slices
  3. In a non stick pan, add butter and oil.
  4. Add spices like elachi, cloves, cinnamon stick, shajeera, bay leaves and saute for 1 min.
  5. Add onions and fry till golden brown and next add ginger garlic paste and saute for 5 min.
  6. Now add mint leaves and saute for 5 min.
  7. Now add all the vegetables , salt, chilli powder, turmeric powder, channa masala powder, garam masala powder and cook for 15 min. Now add curd and cook for another 10 min.
  8. Now in rice cooker add this vegetables mix into soaked basmathi rice and keep the switch in cooking mode .
  9. In 20 min, our yummy biriyani is ready to serve in party.
  10. Add lemon juice and mix once and serve .
