ABOUT Pork Masala Curry RECIPE

In North Eastern States of India no party or occasions is complete without pork dishes. So here today I am sharing a recipe of pork masala curry mildly spicy, flavorful and delicious pork Curry made with flavorful masala and chunks of potatoes. It is quite an easy and simple recipe and can be prepared in jiffy and the end result is a flavorful and succulent curry.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Pork - 500 gms
  2. Potato - 2 medium cut into big pieces
  3. Oil - 1 tbsp
  4. Dry cherry chilly - 5 
  5. Bay leaf - 1
  6. Ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp freshly grounded 
  7. Onion - 1 chopped 
  8. Tomato - 1 chopped 
  9. Turmeric powder - 1 tsp 
  10. Peppercorns - 1 tsp cracked
  11. Kashmiri Chilly powder - 2 tsp 
  12. Garam masala - 2 tsp 
  13. Meat masala - 1 tsp 
  14. Salt to taste 
  15. Water as required

Instructions

  1. Take a pressure cooker and add the oil. Add the chillies, bay leaf and saute for a min.
  2. Add 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste and saute for a min. Add the onion and saute till translucent. Add chopped tomatoes and saute till mushy. Add the masala powder and saute for a min.
  3. Add the pork, salt and saute for around 5 mins stirring coating the masalas nicely with the pork. Add some water, potatoes and pressure cook for 10 mins. Let the pressure release by itself.
  4. Open the cooker and adjust the gravy consistency as per your requirement and just before turning off the heat add the remaining 1 tsp ginger garlic paste, give a quick stir and take off the heat.
