Tofu - Millet Lollipops

Ingredients to make Tofu - Millet Lollipops

  • Tofu -1 cup
  • Rice flour - 1 tablespoon
  • Finger millet flour- 1 teaspoon
  • Sorgum/Jowar flour - 1 tablespoon
  • Boiled potato (big)- 1
  • Onion (sliced)-1 tablespoon
  • Carrot (grated)- 1 teaspoon
  • Green chilly ( optional ) - 1
  • Any green leafy vegetable - 1/4 cup
  • Cumin and coriander fruits powder- 3 pinches
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil to deep fry
  • Toothpicks as required.

How to make Tofu - Millet Lollipops

  1. Crumble tofu in a bowl.
  2. Add all the flours , chopped greens, onion slices, boiled vegetables,green chilly to the crumbled tofu.
  3. Sprinkle salt , cumin and coriander fruits powder to it. Mix well.
  4. Make the above mix as a firm dough.
  5. Take small balls of the dough and shape into lollipops.
  6. Heat oil in a pan over a medium flame.Deep fry the shaped lollipops on both sides until they turn golden brown and are cooked well.
  7. Transfer the crispy lollipops into a serving plate. Insert toothpicks into the fried lollipops.
  8. Serve hot with any chutney or sauce.
