Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Beef 1kg
  2. 1c onions
  3. 2 big tomato
  4. 1c Shallots
  5. garlic 1 bulb
  6. ginger 1 big pc
  7. green chillies 3 nos
  8. Red chilly powder 1 tsp
  9. Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  10. Coriander powder 2tsp
  11. Garam masala 1tsp
  12. pepper powder 1 tsp
  13. fennel seeds powder 2tsp
  14. Fried coconut pieces 1/2c (optional)
  15. coconut oil
  16. salt
  17. curry leaves
  18. coriander leaves

Instructions

  1. Cook the beef with half chilly powder and turmeric powder and salt in a pressure cooker till done. In a pan heat coconut oil and add sliced shallots and onions. When this becomes brown add ginger garlic paste.
  2. Saute well and add the powders and mix well. Now add the sliced tomatoes and mix well till the tomatoes are soft. Put the cooked beef into this masala and mix well. Roast till water evaporates and beef becomes dark brown.
  3. Add little coconut oil in between the roasting, you can add fried coconut pieces also add at this point. Add curry leaves and coriander leaves. Serve hot with chappathis or parotta.
