ABOUT Aval Payasam RECIPE

This is an easy and tasty payasam recipe. My family and friends love this payasam, so thought of sharing this recipe with you all today.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1 cup Brown Aval
  2. 2 and 1/2 cup Milk
  3. 1 tin Condensed milk
  4. Sugar if needed
  5. 1 tsp Cardamom powder
  6. A little Ghee
  7. Few broken cashewnuts
  8. Few raisins

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a pan and fry the aval till its crisp. Boil the milk with 1/2 tsp cardamom powder till it reduces and thickens. Now add the roasted aval into the milk, boil it in medium heat till the aval is cooked.
  2. Now add the condensed milk, if you require more sweetness then you can add sugar as well. Mix well and allow to boil for a few more minutes.
  3. Add 1/2 tsp cardamom powder and mix well. Now heat 1 tsp ghee in a pan and roast the cashewnuts and raisins. Pour this over the payasam.
  4. Enjoy the payasam!
