Butter panner masala is perfect for parties to serve as a side dish for chapathi or naan or parota.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Panner- 200 gms
  2. Butter- 50 gms
  3. Peas- 100gms
  4. Onions-2
  5. Tomatoes-5
  6. Sugar or honey-1 spoon
  7. Fresh cream or milk- 50ml
  8. Salt- as per our taste
  9. Turmeric- little
  10. Chilli powder-1 spoon
  11. Elachi-2
  12. Cloves-3
  13. Cinnamon stick-small piece
  14. bay leaf-1
  15. Ginger garlic paste-2 spoons

Instructions

  1. In a pressure cooker, add little oil and add chopped onion, ginger garlic paste, tomatoes, salt, turmeric , chilli powder and saute for 15 min( till cooked)
  2. Now transfer this into mixie jar and blend it to a fine paste ( after cooled)
  3. In the same pressure cooker, add butter. When butter melts, add elachi, cloves, cinnamon, bay leaf and saute.
  4. Now add the blended paste and saute till the gravy leaves out the oil.
  5. Now add coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, sugar and mix well.
  6. Add little water so that the sauce is silky.
  7. Add salt if needed.add peas.
  8. Cut panner into desired cubes and add it to the silky sauce and close the lid and pressure cook to 1 whistle.( i use pressue cooker when needed to cook fast)
  9. Open the lid and add fresh cream and transfer into serving bowl.
