Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Rolled oats 2 cups
  2. Vegetables-
  3. Carrot 2 numbers cut into small cubes
  4. Beans 10-12 finely cut
  5. Grean peas 1 cup
  6. Other ingrediends-
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Green chilli 2 numbers slit
  9. Turmeric powder 1/8 teaspoon
  10. Onion 1 number finely chopped
  11. Tomatoes 2 numbers finely chopped
  12. Coriader leaves for garnishing
  13. Cheese as per taste
  14. Butter as per taste
  15. Oil 2 tablespoon
  16. lemon juice 1 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Take a pan heat 2 tablespoon oil on a high flame .
  2. Reduce a flame and add in small mustard and cumin seeds when they start crackling add in green chillies and saute for a while.
  3. Now increase the flame and add chopped onions fry onions till they achieve light golden brown colour.
  4. Add turmeric powder and stir now add chopped tomatoes and add some salt to make the cooking faster.
  5. Sautey tomatoes till they become mushy.
  6. Now add green peas stir and cook them for 3-4minutes with the lid on then add all the remaining vegetables.
  7. stir vegetables with a spatula for 2-3 minutes ,then add plane rolled oats and mix all the ingredients.
  8. Now add 5 cups hot water let it boil and add remaining salt to taste and cover the lid for 4-5 minutes.
  9. Inbetween open the lid and stir
  10. When oats upma is cooked add lemon juice and chopped coriander leaves.
  11. Serve hot for breakfast or brunch with some grated cheese and butter to attract kids for this yummi and healthy mixed Veggie Oats Upma.
