Ingredients to make Chilly Chicken (Kerala Style)

  • 1kg Chicken shredded
  • 1 Big onion
  • 1 Tomato
  • 5 Cloves Garlic
  • 1 Medium piece ginger
  • ½ tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Red chilly powder
  • ½ tsp Garam masala powder
  • ½ tsp Coriander powder
  • 2 Green chillies
  • Salt
  • Oil
  • Curry leaves

How to make Chilly Chicken (Kerala Style)

  1. If using full chicken boil it and shred it without bones or use boneless chicken. Now in a pan heat oil sauté chopped onions and curry leaves. When it turns pink in color add the ginger- garlic paste and mix well.
  2. Now add the red chilly powder,turmeric powder,coriander powder and garam masala powder and sauté well. Now add chopped tomatoes and mix well. Now add shredded chicken and mix well till it is crispy and dry.
  3. Turn off the flame and serve hot.This can be used as filling for sandwiches.
