ABOUT Veg Burrito RECIPE

A burrito is a type of Mexican and Tex-Mex food, consisting of a large wheat flour tortilla with a filling, wrapped into a closed-ended cylinder, in contrast to a taco, where the tortilla is simply folded around the filling. I made it with indian touch .

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Wheat flour tortilla 3
  2. Rajma(red kidney beans ) 2 cup [Overnight soaked and cooked with salt]
  3. Dry coriander seeds powder 1/2tsp
  4. Red chilli powder 1/4tsp
  5. Garam masala (mix spices ) 1/4 tsp
  6. Cumin seeds powder 1/2tsp
  7. Dry mango powder 1/2 tsp
  8. Cheese slices 4-5 or grated cheese 2 cup
  9. Ingredients for salsa :
  10. Chopped tomato 1/4cup
  11. Chopped onion 1/4cup
  12. Chopped green Chilli 2
  13. Chopped coriander leaves a handful
  14. Cooked sweet corn kernels 1/4 cup
  15. Black pepper 1/2tsp
  16. Salt 1/4tsp
  17. Olive oil 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. Take a pan heat it ..put cooked rajma in it .
  2. Add garam masaala , red chilli powder , dry coriander seeds powder , cumin seeds powder , dry mango powder .. mix them well and cook rajma until water absorbed .. then remove from heat .
  3. Now we will make salsa .. Take a mixing bowl put , chopped tomato , onion , coriander leaves ,corn kernels and green chilli .. now add black pepper powder ,salt and olive oil .. mix them will and keep aside .
  4. Now we will arrange tortilla ..for this take a tortilla Spread rajma (red kidney beans) mixture across the length as shown in photo and then put salsa on rajma mixture and fold both sides .. arrange remaining tortillas like this
  5. Now arrange Burrito .. for this take a greased baking tin put these filled tortillas .put cheese slices or grated cheese on it sprinkle some chopped green chilli and coriander leaves .
  6. Now put this baking tin in preheated oven at 250℃ for 5-7 mins and grill it. After that take out from oven . Burrito is ready . Serve hot
