ABOUT Alu Puri RECIPE

Alu puri is eaten by all Gujaratis. It is generally eaten in family get togethers with a sweet dish ,salad, papad, jeera rice and butter milk.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Boiled potatoes 4
  2. Tomato gravy 2 table spoons
  3. Salt as per taste
  4. Turmeric powder 1 tea spoon
  5. Chilli powder 2 tspoons
  6. Coriander powder 2 tspoons
  7. Kitchen king masala 1 tea spoon
  8. Sugar 1 tea spoon
  9. Wheat flour dough
  10. Oil for deep frying
  11. Mustard seeds and cumin seeds 1/2 tsp

Instructions

  1. Take oil in a pan add cumin seeds and mustard seed. Let it crackle.
  2. Add tomato gravy stir it until oil comes out.
  3. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, salt, chilli powder, sagar and kitchen king masala. Mix it properly.
  4. Add chopped potatoes. Put it on slow flame for 5 minutes. Alu Sabji is ready.
  5. To make wheat dough: Take wheat flour. Add 2 table spoons oil and water. Add pinch of salt. Make a dough.
  6. Now take wheat flour dough make their small round Roti.
  7. Take a pan put oil and deep fry that small round Roti until golden brown. . Puri is ready.
  8. Serve alu Sabji with puri.
