Ingredients to make Potato vada

  • potato grated 1 cup
  • Red onion 1/4 cup finely sliced
  • egg 1
  • gram flour 2 tablespoon
  • Rice flour 1 tablespoon
  • chilli chopped 3
  • ginger chopped 1 tspoon
  • garam masala half teaspoon
  • salt to taste
  • curry leaves chopped
  • coriander leaves
  • pepper optional
  • oil for frying

How to make Potato vada

  1. Squeeze the potato to remove excess water. Add chopped ginger onion curry leaves coriander leaves and chilli to this. Mix well with hands.
  2. Beat the egg well with a spoon. Add this to the potato mix.
  3. Mix all the dry ingredients and add to the potato mixture. Do not add water to mixture.
  4. Heat oil in a pan . Make vada using a spoon. Fry both side till in low flame till light brown color.
