Vegetable Idli

Ingredients to make Vegetable Idli

  • Idli batter ready made
  • Vegggies:
  • carrot :1 chopped
  • corn : 1/2 cup
  • onion : 1 chopped
  • For tadka:
  • mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  • curry leaves a few
  • cashew nuts 5-6
  • salt as needed
  • oil as required

How to make Vegetable Idli

  1. Keep your idli batter ready.
  2. In a pan heat oil add in mustard seeds, curry leaves and fry for a minute.
  3. Add in the veggies saute for a while, turn off the flame and let the veggies cool down.
  4. Meanwhile in the same pan fry the cashew nuts and keep it aside. Add the veggies in the idli batter.
  5. Grease the idli tray and pour the batter. On top of it keep the fried cashew nut. Steam for 5 minutes.

I prepare in a same way but I add few raisins also in vegetables :smiley:
