Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Chicken pieces 300 gms
  2. Onions 2 medium
  3. Tomatoes 2 medium
  4. Ginger garlic paste 2 -3 tsp
  5. Curd 1 / 2 cup
  6. Whole masala ingradients
  7. Peppercorn 4-5
  8. Cloves 4-5
  9. Dalchini 2 ×1 " pieces
  10. Green Cardamom 4-5
  11. Black cardamom 3-4
  12. Powdered spices. .
  13. Coriander powder 2tsp
  14. Cummin powder 2 tsp
  15. Chilli powder 2-3tsp (as per taste )
  16. Turmeric powder 1tsp
  17. Garam masala powder 2-3tsp
  18. Cashew nuts 1/2cup soaked and ground
  19. Salt to taste
  20. Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
  21. Oil 1-2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken in ginger and garlic paste, curd and turmeric powder for 30 min
  2. Chop onions and tomato coarsely and saute till the colour changes to light brown
  3. Grind together sautéed onions and tomatoes to a fine paste
  4. In a pressure cooker heat oil and saute onions and tomatoes paste till it becomes dry and starts leaving oil
  5. Add ginger garlic paste and saute for 1 minute
  6. Add whole spices and fry for 1min
  7. Add powered masala and saute for 1 minute
  8. Add curd and saute till oil separates
  9. Add chicken and saute for 1 minute
  10. Add enough water and pressure cook till 3 whistles
  11. After 5min open the cooker add cashew paste and cook for 2-3min
  12. Add salt to taste
  13. Garnish with coriander leaves
