Regular dosa with a twist

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Rice 2 cups
  2. urad dal 1 cup
  3. Pinch of green and kesari colour
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Oil to shallow fry

Instructions

  1. Soak rice and dal together for 3-4 hours
  2. Grind to a fine paste
  3. Keep in warm place for fermenting (4-5 hrs or overnight )
  4. Add salt to taste
  5. Divide into 3 parts
  6. Add kesari and green colours to 2 parts
  7. Heat a non stick tava
  8. Add 3 portions side by side
  9. Spread the mixture evenly as for regular dosa
  10. Add little oil from the sides and shallow fry
  11. Serve with any chutney of your choice
