Honey and Apple Bundt Cake

ABOUT Honey and Apple Bundt Cake RECIPE

This is an eggless tea time cake. Honey and apples are the key ingredients. It's healthy and good for children. It can be served as evening snacks or packed in lunch boxes. This recipe is with love from my kitchen.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 2 Apples peeled and grated
  2. 1/2 cup Honey
  3. 150 ml milk
  4. 2 tbsp Vinegar
  5. 1 tsp vanilla essence
  6. 3/4 cup oil
  7. 2 cups whole wheat flour
  8. 1/2 cup brown sugar
  9. 1/4 cup caster sugar
  10. 1 tsp Baking powder
  11. 1 tsp soda bicarbonate
  12. 1/2 tsp Cinnamon powder
  13. 1/4 tsp nutmeg powder
  14. 1/4 tsp Salt
  15. For Icing - 1 cup Icing Sugar
  16. 1 tbsp Milk
  17. 1 tsp vanilla essence

Instructions

  1. Grease the Bundt pan with oil and keep it aside.
  2. Sieve cinnamon powder, nutmeg powder, baking powder, soda bicarbonate and flour together.
  3. Take another bowl and add honey, oil, vanilla essence, vinegar and milk together and whisk it.
  4. Add brown and caster sugar and whisk it again till the sugar dissolves.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredient little at a time and whisk the batter well.
  6. Add the apples and mix it. Pour the batter into the bundt pan,
  7. Fill the batter only up to ¾ level of the pan. Tap the pan gently.
  8. Bake the cake at 180 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes.
  9. Insert a toothpick deep into the cake. If it comes out clean, the cake is done.
  10. Cool the cake for 15 minutes and gently remove it from the pan.
  11. Cool it further before frosting
  12. For the icing - Sieve the icing sugar into a mixing bowl.
  13. Add vanilla essence and milk into the icing sugar.
  14. Whisk it till the icing is thick in consistency.
  15. Pour the icing into a disposable piping bag.
  16. Cut the tip of the piping bag and pour the icing over the cake.
  17. Allow icing to dry completely before slicing and serving.
