Ingredients to make Pancakes

  • All purpose flour – 1cup
  • Baking powder – 1tsp
  • Baking soda – 1/4 tsp
  • Salt –1/4 tsp
  • Sugar – 2tbsp
  • Egg – 1large
  • Butter milk – 1cup or 240ml
  • Butter – 3 tbsp
  • Honey – as required

How to make Pancakes

  1. In a bowl add flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, sugar and just give it a stir with a spatula.
  2. In another bowl add an egg, whisk it with a wire whisk then add butter milk after that add melted butter just mix the whole mixture using a wire whisk.
  3. Now add this mixture to the flour mixture and mix it without any lumps just by using a wire whisk or spatula. Mix till just everything gets mixes evenly, no need to beat hard.
  4. Brush a pan with butter then add a ladle of flour mixture, let it stand till air bubbles burst on the top side then turn the side. Again cook for a minute or two and then its ready to serve. Serve them by pouring dates syrup or honey on the
My Tip: Always use all the ingredients at room temperature. Butter after melting, should also be cooled down and use at room temperature. To get fluffy and soft pan cakes mix gently.
