ABOUT Sweet Ragi (Finger Millet) Dosa RECIPE

This is a super healthy and super simple dish. Finger millet (Ragi) is a power house of calcium and palm jaggery is rich in iron. We generally have Ragi Dosa with hot and spicy onion chutney. But this dish is sweet and a delectable one. Kids are going to love this dish and can be a better alternative to your conventional tiffin items. Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Finger Millet Flour - 1 Cup
  2. Salt - 1 Tablespoon
  3. Rice Flour - 1 Cup
  4. Palm Jaggery Syrup - 1/2 Cup
  5. Ghee - As required
  6. Cashew nuts / other dry fruits - As required
  7. Water - As required to make the batter

Instructions

  1. Preparing the Palm Jaggery Syrup : In a sauce pan, boil one cup of water.
  2. Add the palm jaggery and wait till it melts. Allow it to cool.
  3. To prepare the dosa : Take a bowl, add the millet flour, rice flour and salt. Add the palm jaggery syrup and mix it. Pour water and keep mixing till you get the appropriate thickness to make the dosa.
  4. Apply ghee. Flip it and cook the other side as well.
  5. Add ghee once again and sprinkle cashews and other dry fruits of your choice.
