Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Red amaranth leaves - 2 cups, chopped
  2. Raw rice - 1 cup
  3. Toor dal - 1/2 cup
  4. Tamarind - Marble sized ball
  5. Dry red chillies - 7-8
  6. Ginger - a small piece
  7. Salt
  8. Oil for Deep frying

Instructions

  1. Soak rice and dal in water for 2 hours.
  2. Grind dry red chillies, tamarind and ginger till fine. Then add rice and dal and grind coarsely without water.
  3. Take out in a bowl. Add salt and mix.
  4. Heat oil for frying.
  5. Make small balls of the batter and flatten slightly.
  6. Deep fry on low heat till brown on both sides.
  7. Serve hot.
